A: An online research panel is a community of individuals, with similar interests and experiences, who have voluntarily chosen to participate in online research studies about various topics related to their common interests.

Q: What is the My Voice for Dell panel?
A: My Voice for Dell is a community of people from around the country with whom you can share your opinions and ideas about technology products, services, and marketing that Dell may offer.

Q: How many surveys do I have to complete?
A: We encourage participation in as many surveys and discussions as you are invited to take. In order to be considered an active member of the My Voice for Dell panel we ask that you participate in at least three panel studies per year.

Q: How do I complete a survey?
A: You will be e-mailed a unique URL address for each survey. Simply click on that URL or cut and paste it into a web browser of your choice and complete the survey form online. Or, you can also access your surveys when you log in to the My Voice for Dell website (the URL for each survey appears under the section, “Take a survey”). Survey length is closely controlled to minimize the use of your time.

Q: How long will I have to complete each survey?
A: You will typically have anywhere from 48 hours to one week to complete each survey.

Q: How do I see if there are any new surveys that I can take?
A: Once you’re logged into the My Voice for Dell website, you can find all surveys that are available and ready for you to take under the section, “Take a survey”.

Q: How do I change my email address or password?
A: Once you’re logged into the My Voice for Dell website, you can edit your profile information by clicking “Update user info” at the top of page. Here you can update your email address and/or your password.

Q: What information is required to become a panel member?
A: A brief member profile is the only information required for joining the panel. Your member profile will include basic contact information and vital data – e.g., gender, age, etc. Panel members who wish to participate in other programs such as focus groups or other special events may be asked to provide additional information.

Q: Will my profile information be sold to other companies?
A: The My Voice for Dell panel profile information is not sold or distributed to any company. All information is strictly confidential and privacy is guaranteed. Your name will never be sold, exchanged, or distributed to any other party without your express acknowledgement.

Q: How do members receive information about the survey topics they complete?
A: Certain study results will be available to all panel members via our newsletter.

Q: How long will I remain on the panel?
A: You may remain on the panel as long as you choose to participate in at least three surveys per year. Members may remove themselves from the panel.

Q: I’ve decided I’d like to quit receiving surveys and discussions from My Voice for Dell. How do I cancel my membership?
A: We’re sorry to hear that! Once you’re logged into the My Voice for Dell website click “Update user info” at the top of page. There you can click on a button that says “Unsubscribe” which will remove you from our community and you will not receive any new invitations or communications from My Voice for Dell.

Q: What are Points?
A: Points refers to the points system the My Voice for Dell community uses to award members for fully completing certain surveys or discussions. We at My Voice for Dell realize that your time is valuable and want to make sure we reward you for taking the time to share your opinions with us. You will be informed in the invitation whether the survey or discussion has points allocated to it and, if so, how many. Once you accumulate enough points to the minimum threshold (50 Points), you will be able to redeem your points for a $5 Amazon Gift Code. AMAZON TERMS AND CONDITIONS APPLY.

After you complete a survey or discussion that has points allocated to it, the points will be posted to your account which you can track by logging into Please note, you may need to refresh your browser to see the points updated.

Points are not transferable and are not redeemable for cash.

Q: How do I redeem my Points?
A: When you reach the 50 Points threshold in your account, the REDEEM button will be activated in your portal profile.

You can only redeem points in multiples of 50. For example if you have 120 points in your account and you wish to redeem 100 of them, you will need to go through the redemption process two times. Simply click on the redeem button again to redeem more points.

Steps to redeem your Points:
1. Login to the portal ( with your My Voice for Dell username and password.
2. Click on the REDEEM button.
3. Once confirmed, an Amazon Gift Code will be sent to the email address we have on file.

After you redeem your points, your point balance will be updated and the redeem button will be enabled/disabled depending on whether your new balance is greater than the minimum threshold of 50 Points. You may need to refresh your browser to see the balance updated.

Steps to redeem your gift code at

Q: Why is my REDEEM button not working?
A: The REDEEM button will only be enabled once you reach the minimum threshold of 50 Points. If you have not reached the minimum threshold, you will still be able to see the button, but the button will not be enabled.

Q: I haven’t received my Amazon Gift Code.
A: To receive your gift code, you must have completed the redemption process online at Once your redemption has been processed, your gift code will be emailed to the email address we have in the system (the email you provided during the sign up process). Please check your spam/junk folder in addition to your regular mailbox/inbox in case the automated email is accidently filtered there. You can add to your safety list to prevent this from happening in the future. Please allow for a 2-3 week processing time.

If you have deleted the email in error, you can email from the email address we have in the system and provide your name and the date you redeemed the points. We will resend you the gift code to the email address we have in the system.

Q: My Amazon Gift Code doesn’t work.

A: Please email us at with the gift code you are trying to use from the email address that is registered with us for verification purposes, and we will help sort through the issue.

Q: Do I have to redeem all my points at the same time?
A: No, you don’t have to redeem all your points at the same time, however, you can only redeem in multiples of 50. See above for additional information on redeeming your points.

Q: I think I’ve earned more points than what is showing in my account.

A: There is an internal audit system in place that ensures that the proper number of points is allocated to your account upon completion of a survey. Points are awarded to certain surveys and discussions and may not be awarded to all of them. The number of points awarded to each survey or discussion may vary. If points are awarded to a particular survey or discussion, it will be mentioned in the invitation you receive as well as in the beginning of the survey or discussion.

Q: Why is my account balance showing 0 points?
A: You may have to refresh your browser to see your updated balance if you just completed a survey or discussion that awarded points. If you continue to experience the same problem, please email

Q: Is there a maximum number of points I can accumulate in my account?

A: No, however, you are encouraged to redeem your points once you reach the minimum threshold of 50 points. You can redeem your points and store the value of your Amazon Gift Code in your Amazon account for future purchases. To do so, simply log into your Amazon account and “apply your Amazon gift code” to your account. By doing so, you will have the funds available for future purchases and the funds will never expire.

Q: How many points do I earn for taking a survey?
A: The amount of points earned per survey may vary based on the length. Longer surveys may earn more points when appropriate. The introduction to each survey will list how many points it will be worth. On average, a 6-8 minute study will be worth about 5 points.

Q: Can I get my gift code sent to a different email address?

A: No, the email your Amazon Gift Code will be sent the email address you provided to us and what we have on file. Points are not transferable.

Q: I would like to see how many points I’ve collected? Is that possible?
